PowerSync Settings
PowerSync utilizes Esri ArcGIS map and feature services for reading and writing GIS data. If you’re the first person logging in, you will need to specify an Esri map service. Do that by clicking the gear icon
on the left of the home screen, and then entering the following information:
The Service Name can be anything you want it to be, but it must be unique among other services used in PowerSync.
The Inbound Service URL can either be an Esri map service (ending in “MapServer”) or an Esri feature service (engine in “FeatureServer”). Once you enter and save this option, your list of GIS feature classes (Layers) will show on the main sync profile screen. This is used to read data from GIS into Maximo.
The Outbound Service URL must be an Esri feature service (ending in “FeatureServer”). The URL is what is used to process data from Maximo to GIS.
If your services require a login, choose “Yes” for Authentication Required, then enter the proper authentication URL and security credentials for PowerSync to authenticate.
The Maximo Security Group field should contain the user group in Maximo that PowerSync users must be in to access the application. Note: The current PowerSync user must be part of the security group in question in order to save the value. For instance, your user must be part of the MAXADMIN user group.
You can have multiple map services from which to build data profiles. Add another service by clicking the plus icon. Each profile must contain layers with unique Layer descriptions, so make sure your service layers are uniquely named (this is done in the ArcGIS ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro application when creating the map service).
