MapEngine Release Notes – 4.2.1

🚀 Release 4.2.1 – 2025-07-30

Summary: Several new actions have been added, along with work order sequencing optimization and labor actuals.


✨ New Features

  • New Map Actions

    • Mass Update WOCLASSIFICATION: Allows the user to choose and update the WOCLASSIFICATION field on work orders selected on the map.
    • Mass Update WOPRIORITY: Allows the user to choose and update the WOPRIORITY field on work orders selected on the map.
    • Add Assets/Locations to the Multiple Assets, Locations, and CIs table: Allows users to set assets selected on the map to the Multiple Assets, Locations, and CIs table.
    • Mask Map Selections based on Route Assignment: Allows the user to select assets or locations on the map, then mask (remove) the selections that already exist on a given Maximo Route, making it easy to see which records may need to be added.
  • Define User Access to Map Actions

    • A new Access Controls menu allows administrators to define which user groups can access specific map actions and menu items.
  • Labor Actuals Form

    • A new custom form is available in the Work Order info card for adding labor actuals. Multiple labor codes (people) can be added in one form. A new Add Actuals to Parent button is available for logging labor on parent work orders only. This functionality must be requested to be added to a customer’s client code to be deployed.
  • Sequencing Child Work Orders

    • Users can now optimize the sequencing of child work orders, view the order on the map, and update the parent work order with the optimized sequence.

🛠 Improvements

  • Now supports ArcGIS Enterprise Route services and route solving
    • Allows for up to 500 stops to be optimized.

  • Various bug fixes.
